The architect

Bussey Architecture is an award-winning practice based in London and Mexico City. The studio designs and delivers original, avant-garde buildings that advance the discipline of architecture and contribute meaningfully to the cities and communities they serve.

The firm was founded by Armando Bussey following thirteen years leading the Design Department at Zaha Hadid Architects in London. Over that period his work spanned the full spectrum of the profession at its highest level: skyscrapers in New York and Malaysia, museums across Europe and India, opera theaters in China, airports in Sydney and Uzbekistan, high-end residential developments, and large-scale masterplans throughout Asia.

Since pursuing his solo career, he has remained closely linked to Zaha Hadid Architects, working with the practice as a Design Consultant.

Today, Bussey Architecture is an emerging international design force, with active projects in California, Mexico City, Los Cabos and the Riviera Maya. PANTONO marks the studio’s first collection on the Oaxacan coast. A project where that global experience is distilled into something intimate, precise, and entirely its own.
